Chocolatey Almond Squares

If you’re anything like me, the start of your cycle comes with a serious chocolate craving. But instead of grabbing something that spikes your blood sugar and leaves you feeling worse, I created these rich, satisfying fudge squares that actually support your hormones.

They’re packed with healthy fats, gut-friendly fiber, and protein to crush cravings, stabilize energy, and nourish your body—especially in the luteal phase when your body needs extra support.

Why You’ll Love These

  • Cacao butter + almond butter: rich in healthy fats that keep you full and support hormone production

  • Yacon syrup: a natural sweetener that also acts as a prebiotic for gut health

  • Protein powder: balances blood sugar and helps reduce the post-snack crash

  • Chopped almonds: fiber and crunch to support digestion and satiety

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup cacao butter

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil

  • 1/3 cup almond butter

  • 3 tbsp yacon syrup

  • 1/2 cup almonds, chopped fine

  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 scoop protein powder

Instructions (makes 12-16 squares)

  1. Prep the pan: Line a square pan with parchment paper and set aside.

  2. Melt the base: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the cacao butter and coconut oil together.

  3. Add the rest: Once fully melted, stir in the almond butter, yacon syrup, chopped almonds, cocoa powder, cinnamon, and protein powder. Mix until smooth and well combined.

  4. Chill: Pour the mixture into your parchment-lined pan, cover, and refrigerate for about 2 hours or until fully set.

  5. Slice and enjoy: Remove from the pan, cut into 12–16 squares, and enjoy your hormone-supportive chocolate fix!
